Wedding Pre-Shoot with Bryony & Hugh
Wedding Pre-shoot with Bryony & Hugh at Williamson Park
A Summer Pre-Wedding Shoot at Williamson Park | Bryony & Hugh
There is something incredibly special about the season before a wedding.
The quiet anticipation.
The almost-there feeling.
The life you’re already living together before the confetti falls.
When Bryony & Hugh met me at Williamson Park in the weeks leading up to their June wedding, it wasn’t about stiff poses or perfect outfits. It was about slowing down. Breathing. Taking a moment in the middle of wedding planning to simply be together.
And for them, “together” meant little hands tucked into theirs and wildflowers brushing against glittery shoes.
Why I Offer a Pre-Wedding Shoot
I include a pre-wedding shoot with all of my couples for a reason.
By the time your wedding day arrives, I don’t want to feel like a stranger holding a camera. I want you to feel comfortable. I want you to know how I gently guide you. I want you to trust that you don’t need to perform.
These sessions give us space to connect properly — without a timeline, without guests waiting, without the pressure of a big day schedule. You learn that being photographed can feel easy. Natural. Even joyful.
For Bryony & Hugh, it also meant something else.

When You’re Planning a Wedding with Small Children
Sometimes carving out time “just the two of you” isn’t realistic.
When you’re planning a wedding and raising little ones, life doesn’t pause for engagement photos. There are snacks to pack, naps to navigate, emotions running high, and tiny people who want to be part of everything.
So they came too.
And honestly? It was perfect.
There were cuddles mid-walk. A toddler deciding she’d had enough. Tiny arms wrapped tightly around mum’s waist. A snack break. Giggles in the long grass. Hugh scooping up little bodies without breaking conversation.
It wasn’t polished.
It was real.
If you’re planning a wedding with small children in tow — I see you. I know the juggle, the emotion, the beautiful chaos. And I am completely here for it.
Your love story doesn’t exist separately from your children. It includes them.
Returning to Williamson Park for the Wedding Day
Fast forward a few weeks to June.
The sun showed up. The park was alive. And instead of nerves and unfamiliar faces, there was familiarity. The kids recognised me. We’d already explored these paths together. Bryony & Hugh knew what it felt like to stand in front of my camera.
That changes everything.
Pre-wedding shoots aren’t just about creating beautiful images ahead of the big day (although you absolutely get those too). They’re about building trust. Softening nerves. Beginning your wedding story in a way that feels grounded and true to you.
Bryony & Hugh’s wedding at Williamson Park was full of joy — the kind that bubbles up when you feel safe, seen, and supported.
And that all started here, in a summer meadow, with small hands and wildflowers.

If you’re newly engaged and wondering whether a pre-wedding shoot is worth it, I’d love to chat. Whether it’s just the two of you or your whole little crew, we’ll create something that feels honest and beautifully yours 🤍
