Motherhood Mini Session at Half Moon Bay with Anna & Isaac

Simple moments at Half Moon Bay with Anna & Isaac

There is something about Half Moon Bay that feels like it was made for motherhood stories.

Soft sand underfoot. Weathered rock faces glowing in warm light. The wide, endless sky stretching above you. It’s a place where everything slows down — where little hands naturally reach for yours and where the world feels beautifully simple.

Last Mother’s Day, I met Anna and Isaac here for one of my Mother’s Day Mini Sessions, and it was pure magic from the moment they stepped onto the beach.

Anna and Isaac walked hand in hand along the shoreline, the sea air lifting their hair and the cliffs standing protectively behind them. There’s something so powerful about photographing from behind — watching a mother and child moving forward together. It speaks of guidance, safety, and quiet devotion. These are the in-between moments that often go unseen, but they are the very heart of motherhood.

And then there were the small details.

A tiny ladybird resting in Isaac’s cupped hands. Anna’s steady fingers supporting his as he marvelled at something so small and extraordinary. Those fleeting discoveries are the moments children remember — and so often, mothers are the gentle anchor in them.

This is why these sessions matter.

As mothers, we are usually the ones taking the photos. We capture the milestones, the smiles, the messy faces — but we are rarely in the frame. And yet, one day, these images will mean everything. They will show your child not just what you looked like, but how you held them. How you walked beside them. How you made the world feel safe and expansive all at once.

Half Moon Bay offers the most beautiful, natural backdrop for this story. The rugged cliffs bring texture and warmth, the sand softens every step, and the open sky creates space — space to breathe, to connect, to simply be together. It’s a location that feels timeless, which is exactly what these photographs become.

Mother’s Day Mini Sessions are gentle, relaxed and connection-led. There’s no stiff posing. Just walking, holding hands, cuddling close, exploring the shoreline and letting your story unfold naturally. My aim is always to create images that feel honest and full of heart — photographs that you’ll treasure not just this year, but decades from now.

If you’ve been thinking about booking a session, consider this your sign.

You deserve to be in the frame.
Your children deserve to see you there.
And there is no better place than Half Moon Bay to tell that story.

Mother’s Day Mini Sessions are now open for booking, and spaces are always limited. I would love to capture your motherhood story this spring — windswept, sun-warmed and beautifully real.

✨ Book your Mother’s Day Mini Session at Half Moon Bay and let’s create something your children will hold onto forever.
